This 14,000 square foot, $20 million dollar transit hub will transform a section of downtown Indianapolis already in the midst of a renaissance. The highlight of the project for Gibson- Lewis of Indianapolis is the construction of large Chase Blue curved soffit that will actually project out over Alabama Street on the East side of the project.
As the only comprehensive inpatient hospice facility on Indianapolis' South side, the St Francis Hospice House will meet a growing need for inpatient hospice care. GLI scope included interior drywall, acoustical ceilings, radius bulkheads and custom wood beams in the Chapel.
The vision for the Alumni Hall is to have it be the living room of the university. Alumni Hall will be the place where students, faculty, and staff will intersect. One story, 24’ tall building. The great room ceiling is approximately 20’ high. The ceiling consists of suspended fabric panels installed by Gibson-Lewis of Indianapolis. The combined square footage of interior and exterior space is approximately 25,000 square feet. This building includes a full Starbucks Café, Papa Johns and grill kitchen, campus bookstore, seating areas which can be converted into a 300 person banquet hall, outdoor seating, and collaboration areas.

The scope performed by Gibson- Lewis of Indianapolis included exterior structural studs, sheathing, EIFS Panels, interior framing, insulation, drywall, aluminum reveals, acoustical ceilings, acoustical fabric ceiling and wall panels, carpentry and doors, frames and hardware.
The October, 2013 ground breaking ceremony marked the start of a $15.5 million expansion of the existing French Lick Event Center. This expansion project adds more than 58,000 sf. This expansion will include eight breakout rooms and a 22,000 sf ballroom. This project qualified for $9.3 million from the new Markets Tax Credit Program. GLI is tasked with constructing 30’ plus free-span exterior and interior partitions, a 56,000 sf soffit system, and interior finishes within a six month time frame. GLI is excited to build off of the success that resulted from the original Blue Sky Casino and French Lick Event Center contracts.
This will be the largest warehouse facility in the state of Indiana at 1.6 million square feet. The industrial distribution center will feature: 15,000 square feet of office space, 34’ clear height, 125 dock doors, 10 rail doors, more than 850 trailer parking spaces, and nearing 250 vehicle parking spaces. GLI work consisted of constructing exterior wall assemblies, plaster assemblies, cabinetry, spray applied water proofing, and interior drywall and acoustical ceiling assemblies for the support office and restroom facilities.

This project is a multiple phase renovation of the existing Kelley School of Business on the campus of Indiana University. The project started in May of 2014, and is scheduled to complete in August of 2017. Our scope of work includes metal framing, drywall, insulation, rough carpentry, wood ceilings, acoustical ceilings and acoustical wall panels.
Also known as University Hall, this five story 95,000 square foot building will house the various administrative offices that are currently scattered about in other buildings on campus. The Chancellor's office and the President's office will both be located on the Fifth floor. The building foot print covers nearly the entire site, so the exterior wall construction was a challenge. The project was completed on time despite 49 user initiated changes.
This project sets off Giant Eagle's entry into the Indiana Market. This Market District Supermarket will bring unique services not found in typical grocery stores. Gibson- Lewis of Indianapolis has a scope consisting of metal framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, acoustical clouds and many general trades items.
This new 83,000 square foot two story facility due to complete in August of 2015, is the most recent addition to the Ivy Tech family. The exterior consists of brick, curtain wall and metal panels with structural stud back up. The interior is highlighted with a beautiful wood ceiling system that actually rolls down the wall.
